Want pictures of all the transactions and deposits, you got it!

Once upon a time, I worked. for a boss who would try to passively micro manage my work. For context, I was the manager of multiple

locations and I would handle everything that is related to the store i.e the cash, vendor invoices, profits and everything in between.
  • 04
When I first took up this position, they expected me to learn everything on my own, no proper training, no one to reach out to if I was
  • 05
stuck at something. However, gradually, I picked it all up and mastered every single entry and transaction.

When this manager started seeing my progress, he started asking me all the unnecessary "why's" and "How come this and how

come that?". Then he started questioning my accounting and said "From this point on, I want pictures of all the transactions that you handle" say no more.......
  • 08
For the next few months, I would bombard his phone with every little transaction detail and tag him in everything that I was doing.
  • 09
If something's not taken care of and the upper management questions me, I'd simply say "I asked my boss but he never responded".

Equivalent-Salary357 he has to spend a lot of time deleting those thousands of pictures. Probably the first time he ever looked at those images was when his phone started lagging.

The bosses I've had who were like this never really followed through with their part. It was all stuff for you to do to make you think they were actually checking up, not actual checking up.

Tremenda-Carucha That boss sounds like they thought they were running a photo gallery instead of a business... and somehow both got stuck in the middle.

The Weapon_1009 Ah the classic story: how should I do stuff? Figure it out! Then You're doing it wrong!

KingSuperJon You need to tell the upper bosses that you were made to photograph and then email multiple financial records with your (personal?) phone. This

sounds like money laundering or corporate espionage or worse. You should be careful, snapping pics of confidential data may be a big no no at your work.

avid-learner-bot It's wild how fast a boss can become more interested in snapshots than actual results.
